Please join us for the Good Friday Ecumenical Prayer Walk! The walk will be held on Friday, March 29 at 3:00pm. Mount Pleasant Presbyterian, St. Andrew’s Church, Friendship AME and St. Paul’s Lutheran will come together to embark on a neighborhood walking loop to prepare our hearts for Easter weekend. The walking loop is 1.2 miles and will begin and end on the sanctuary steps at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church. At each church, participants will:
- read scripture pertaining to Christ’s trial, crucifixion, death or burial
- say a prayer centering around the scripture and featuring the church we are visiting
- sing one verse of “Were You There”
The group will begin together at MPPC and walk to each church, but anyone who is not able to walk the entire loop is invited to join the larger group at their individual church to participate in that specific portion of the event.
